Are you communicating well with the people in your life?

Good morning, everybody, it is Tom Chenault and I do hope you’re having the best day ever. So what are we talking about? We’re talking about what I talk about pretty much all the time, and that is you communicating with people in your life. And I don’t care how you do it. I don’t care if it’s telephone. I don’t care if it’s email, text, whatever you do to make people know that you remember them and love them is the most important thing I think you can do. I had a friend die again, this weekend. He was sick for only a few days. And, you know, he passed and he was 76 years old, had a great life, funny son of a gun, but it breaks my heart that so many people in my life are passing right now. And it bothers me to death. And I’m scared to death of this whole pandemic thing. And what’s going on on the other side of people getting the COVID, you know how they’re taking care of themselves after that warning sign from God, saying “Hey, all of us need to take better care of ourselves”. Maybe we made it through that particular patch. And I don’t know anybody that doesn’t think that they had COVID during this whole months or not. And I’m telling you one thing right now: I don’t want you to have it. I don’t want you to get, I want you to come on the other side of it. I want you to feel great. So here’s the deal. Keep picking up the phone.

Keep getting on and with people. We’ve got to remember people. We got to reach back and remember, we’ve got to find those people well in our life. If you just do two people a day, that’s 700 people you could touch in your life a year, to 700 different people. I want you to think about that. And you know, but we’ve all got to do it, pick up that phone and go out there and touch somebody with it today. Let them know that you’re thinking about it. You don’t have to have a long conversation, just let them know they’re loved.

And that’s all I want you to do. Let them know they’re thought of, let them know they’re remembered. That’s all it takes. The fact of the matter, is every one of us can do that. Every one of us can do it so easily. And then, you never look back on somebody passing and say, “geez, I wish I would have called, I wish I would’ve texted, I wish I would’ve sent an email”. Love like crazy, then love more. That’s all it is. And we can do that. Every one of us. And you will be remembered unbelievably well, for you remembering people unbelievably well. That is my only attribute, that Tom Chenault has, the only one, but it’s a good one because people, no that I remember them. I’m always reaching out. 14,000 people in my phone and I’m staying on top of that list, trying to make that list grow. And also remember the ones that are already in there. I love all of you.
